Today’s diesel cars have very sophisticated fuel systems, such as common rail and pump injectors, to reach optimal performance and for economical fuel consumption. These highly tuned fuel systems are more susceptible to the fouling of the fuel system. This will lead to more diesel knocking, higher soot emissions, insufficient lubrication and lack of power. Older vehicles experience problems due to accumulation of deposits in the fuel system and wear on the components.
